Automation becomes more and more general nowadays. A lot of corporations attempt to promote their solutions to the market. These programs are sold in attractive boxes with lots of great characteristics, whistles and bells. Having assumed all the factors for and against the usage of such programs, I arrive at conclusion that there are several reasons for the managers not to use personnel management programs.
Reason 1: It is not a program for free. That is impracticable to find the free employee management software. Remember that the updates, support and maintenance also require some fee. Lots of people use this software regardless of how much does it cost. Do not pay for the program if you know that its advantages are not worthy of it.
Reason 2: The unqualified user can not appropriately operate this program. You have to be a professional to use the human resource software. If you do not have your own computer geek and you are not a geek yourself, be ready for nights of struggling with the program.
Reason 3: You may spend lots of money and time to teach your personnel to operate this soft. There is no bigger negative motive for people than studying the software that will control them. Lot of people is not used to learn such things. They do not want to learn it, because you don't pay them for the time they spend on it.
Reason 4: You don't see the people you are working with if you use employee scheduler software. Operating your stuff in person, not from distance, you will do it better with help of your charismatic personality. You have to realize that the automation will eliminate the human relationships. Workers have the feeling that they are only small parts of the structure. It might be cool for a traditional factory, but does not work for a today's competitive corporation which requires every bit of creativity it is able to press out of its employees.
Reason 5: Everybody is getting it. You must have the competitive advantages utilizing the unique soft which has better features. The main thing is the human resources. Even if you use the modern program, it won't assist you to attract new specialists to your corporation. Make the unexpected movements if you want to succeed. Do not forget that computer and its software can not make decisions like man do.
Living in the age of modern technologies it is difficult to understand how can so primitive things as pen and notepad substitute software products, but in some cases they can. If you desire to invest, invest into stuff, not into programs.
